Recognize and synthesize in most any language on Windows 10
If you have used the UWP Chant Developer Workbench or UWP Chant libraries, then you are familiar with the Microsoft WindowMedia speech technologies. WindowsMedia provides a rich suite of voice models and voices to listen and speak in most any language.
Adding a language to Windows 10 provides the option to add voice models and voices to enable speech recognition and speech synthesis in that language. However, in many cases, the added language does not have a corresponding desktop (x86 and x64) recognizer and synthesizer.
Chant Developer Workbench 2020, SpeechKit 9, and Talk&Listen added support for WindowsMedia speech recognition and speech synthesis on Windows 10 for desktop (x86 and x64) applications via WinRT (Windows Runtime). There are new Chant libraries and samples that illustrate.
Now you can develop x86 and x64 applications that speak and listen in most any language on Windows 10.
Review how to use WindowsMedia speech recognition and speech synthesis from Windows 10 desktop (x86 and x64) applications via WinRT in the Chant Knowledge Base article H022102.
