Installer not detecting Developer Editions

Symptoms

The CDW 2008 Installer always installs the .NET component libraries it uses for GrammarKit, LexiconKit, ProfileKit, SpeechKit, and VoiceMarkupKit.

Cause

The Version 8 InstallWare MSI script processor changed the way it handles accessing product installed state. The CDW 2008 Installer checks to see if a Developer Edition is installed, if so, it doesn't install the component library. The MSI script has been modified to work with InstallAware 8.

Status

Fixed in Chant Developer Workbench 2008 build 3.0.1.2.
