SAPI4 TTS Voice Pause or Stop freezes the application

Symptoms

Invoking Pause or Stop during an asynchronous playback on a SAPI4 TTS voice freezes the application.

Cause

Some TTS vendors who support the SAPI4 APIs do not multitask their playback. The Pause or Stop request is waiting on the TTS Voice thread to complete which causes the freeze symptom.

Status

Fixed in SpeechKit 3 SR2. ChantTTS threads handle the required multitasking.
