Unable to resume paused SAPI4 playback

Symptoms

Invoking ResumePlayback has no effect after PausePlayback with SAPI4 voice.

Cause

AudioStop event, as a result of the PausePlayback, cleared the original StartPlayback request from the queue.

Status

Fixed in SpeechKit 4 build 4.0.128.0.
Fixed in SpeechKit 5 build 5.0.8.0 (Win32).

Note that PausePlayback and ResumePlayback requests are counted. If you invoke PausePlayback twice, you need to invoke ResumePlayback twice to actually resume the playback.
