Symptoms

Unable to synthesize speech after first playback with SAPI 5 voice on non-English Windows platforms.

Cause

The SAPI 5 PhonemeConverter instantiation fails for unsupported LANGIDs. The ChantTTS object uses the PhonemeConverter to support returning phoneme identifiers on phoneme events.

Status

Fixed in SpeechKit 4 build 4.0.102.0.
