Symptoms

Synchronous TTS requests may fail with SAPI 4 text-to-speech engines. Invoking StartPlayback requests with the CPSSynchronous playback style may fail.

Cause

Windows message dispatcher may throw an exception when processing windows messages that SAPI 4 detects.

Status

Fixed in SpeechKit 4 build 4.0.78.0.
