Chant Developer Workbench provides support for Windows Media speech recognition on Windows 10. Continuous speech recognition must be enabled before it can be used.
Chant Developer Workbench Universal Windows Platform (UWP) libraries provide application access to Windows Media speech technologies.
Command and grammar recognition is automatically enabled on Windows 10. You can use the SpeechKit UWP Command and Grammar samples and the Grammar editor in the Chant Developer Workbench (UWP) IDE to test grammar-based speech recognition.
To use continuous speech recognition on Windows 10, you must enable it first.
Step 1: Open Windows Settings by selecting the Settings icon from the Start Menu and select the Time & language.
Step 2: Select the Speech tab.
Step 3: Click on the Speech, inking, & typing privacy settings option.
Step 4: Press the Get to know me button.
Once continuous speech recognition is enabled, you can use the SpeechKit UWP Dictation sample and the Recognizer browser in the Chant Developer Workbench (UWP) IDE to test continuous speech.
