New component library simplifies tailoring lexicon word pronunciations

Los Angeles, California, October 15, 2007—Chant Inc., the leading independent software vendor of speech technology tools, announced today general availability of LexiconKit 2, a new component library that enables applications to manage lexicon pronunciations for better sounding synthesized speech and more accurate recognition.

Now developers have the ability to quickly and easily tailor word pronunciations to be used during speech synthesis and recognition. LexiconKit 2 provides a common application interface for creating and editing Cepstral Swift, Microsoft SAPI 4, and Microsoft SAPI 5 lexicons.
