New components accelerate development of speech enabled mobile applications

Los Angeles, California, September 14, 2020—Chant Inc., a leading independent software vendor of speech technology tools, today announced updates in SpeechKit 9 that enables Android applications to speak and respond to voice.

Now developers have the ability to quickly and easily add speech recognition and speech synthesis (text-to-speech) capabilities to Android applications. SpeechKit 9 provides a common application interface for CereProc, Cepstral, Microsoft, Nuance and now Google Android speech technologies.

  • SpeechKit .NET class libraries for Xamarin Android and Xamarin Forms application integration with Google android.speech (recognition) and android.speech.tts (synthesis).
  • Delphi class libraries for Delphi multi-platform application integration with Google android.speech (recognition) and android.speech.tts (synthesis).
  • C++ Builder class libraries for C++Builder multi-platform application integration with Google android.speech (recognition) and android.speech.tts (synthesis).
