Chant simplifies localizing pronunciations with lexicon management software

Los Angeles, California, December 4, 2009—Chant Inc., a leading independent software vendor of speech technology tools, announced today general availability of LexiconKit 3, a new version of its component software that enables software programs to manage word pronunciations.

Now applications have the ability to quickly and easily manage pronunciations to tailor speech synthesis quality and enhance speech recognition accuracy. Lexicons can be generated on demand for each unique voice or recognizer in desktop, server, and mobile applications. LexiconKit 3 provides a common application interface for lexicon management with Cepstral, Microsoft, and Nuance speech technologies.

  • .NET 1.1, 2, 3 (WPF), and CF to support C#, Visual Basic, and Delphi Prism applications.
  • VCL components for supporting applications built with C++Builder and Delphi 2010.
  • Sun Java 1.4, 1.5, and 1.6 component libraries for tools such as JBuilder 2008 and Eclipse.
  • C++ Classes for supporting traditional C++ application development.
  • PC2003, Windows Mobile 5, and Windows Mobile 6 compatible libraries.
