HOW: Configuring for specific Developer Editions

The information in this article applies to:

  • Chant Developer Workbench 2008

Summary

Chant Developer Workbench 2008 installs all 5 Developer Edition views for enabling all features within the interactive environment.

For installations not under a full CDW license, and where only specific Developer Editions are licensed, the Developer Edition expiration notifications appear when initializing.

More Information

To eliminate unwanted initialization messages, renaming or removing the Developer Edition view libraries from the Program Files\Chant\Developer Workbench 2008 folder addresses the problem.

However, with Chant Developer Workbench 3.0.1.5, view libraries have been updated to perform license check on first access to the Developer Edition library rather than at initialization. This eliminates the need to rename or remove the Developer Edition view libraries.
